Book Review: “Off to a Flying Start: Horsing Around the Language”
I recently had the privilege to receive and read a copy of Off to a Flying Start, by Bill Tivenan. The book deals with phrases within the horse industry and how they translate into real life. It is well written with great illustrations, and offers something from “hard boots” to neophytes. If you’re looking to give a gift or to just get a book that is entertaining and informative, then I highly recommend you get this book.
Join the Fight Against Unethical Farms and Agents!!
The American Thoroughbred Review is proud to offer breeders a new tool in the fight against unethical farms and agents. The Farm/Agent Complaint Database (FACD) allows mare owners to check for prior complaints against a farm or agent, and also provides an avenue of recourse should they become a victim of unethical practices. Farms and agents with a pattern of unscrupulous dealings will now be held accountable, preventing additional victims in the future. http://www.thoroughbredreview.com/Complaints.htm
