I recently had the privilege to receive and read a copy of Off to a Flying Start, by Bill Tivenan. The book deals with phrases within the horse industry and how they translate into real life. It is well written with great illustrations, and offers something from “hard boots” to neophytes. If you’re looking to give a gift or to just get a book that is entertaining and informative, then I highly recommend you get this book.

The Farm/Agent Complaint Database (FACD) allows mare owners to check for prior complaints against a farm or agent, and also provides an avenue of recourse should they become a victim of unethical practices.
